Executive
Director
Lori McRitchie
has been
a part of
the Airdrie
Community
since 1981.
Lori worked
for Rockyview
School Division
in Airdrie
schools
for many
years and
has been
the Director
of the R.J.
Hawkey Breakfast
Program
since 1998.
She was
hired as
the Executive
Director
of the Airdrie
Food Bank
in January
of 2006.
At that
time the
R.J.Hawkey
Program
and the
Food Bank
merged under
the Food
Bank's Board
of Directors.
She is married
to Greg,
a potter,
and has
3 grown
kids, Jeff
(Tara),
Erik (Jessica)
and Leah.

Bank is run
by a volunteer
Board of Directors.
Approximately
half of the
board is elected
each year,
so there is
always a mixture
of experienced
and new board
members at
any one time.
Current Board

Denise
has lived
in Airdrie
since
1999.
She was
educated
at the
University
of West
Virginia.
She comes
to us
with the
experience
of having
worked
in two
banks,
an actuarial
firm,
and two
law firms,
and a
history
of successful
fund raising
for two
major
not-for-profit
organizations
in Calgary.
She has
computer
and software
experience,
as well
as administrative
and organizational
skills.
Denise
is the
mother
of three
children
(who have
all 'flown
the coop'),
the owner
of OfficesWithoutWalls,
a five-year-old
web design
company
and is
the author
of "So,
you want
to be
a Housesitter",
the Housesitter.ca
How-to
Handbook.
Calvin
Kerr,
Vice
President
Over
the
last
four
years
Calvin
has
held
the
positions
of
President
and
Past
President
at
the
Airdrie
Food
Bank.
In
the
past,
he
has
been
involved
with
Parent
Teacher
Associations
in
various
public
schools
within
Airdrie
as
well
as
coaching
and
helping
out
with
sports
teams.
Fortis
Alberta
is
his
employer
where
he
works
as
a
system
specialist.
He
has
been
a
resident
of
Airdrie
for
the
past
sixteen
years.
Jim holds
both a B.
Admin and
MBA is currently
the General
Manager
for TELUS
Operations
for Southern
Alberta.
He is active
throughout
the south
and chairs
the TELUS
Community
Advisory
Committees
in both
Medicine
Hat and
Lethbridge.
Jim looks
forward
to being
able to
better serve
his home
community
through
his role
as director
and looks
forward
to the opportunities
this will
provide.
Lise
retired
after
27 years
with the
Federal
Government
in Client
Service,
Human
Resources,
Program
management
with youth
, Hire
a Student,
Administration
and the
Employment
Insurance
program.
Lise is
currently
working
in Volunteer
Services
at Bethany
Airdrie
a Long
Term Care
Facility
and she
is a self
employed
owner
operator
of a retail
Lottery
Kiosk.
She is
an avid
volunteer
in social
justice
and advocacy
and has
worked
on multiple
boards
and committees
in the
community.
Director
YWCA Calgary,
Vice President
Alberta
Council
of Women's
Shelters,
Chair
of the
Social
and Legal
Action
Committee
ACWS,
Vice president
Child
Find Alberta.
Currently
Lise sits
on the
National
Board
of Directors
for the
YWCA of
Canada
and Co-Chairs
the Nominations
Committee
and the
(AMM)
Annual
Membership
Meeting.
Sarah
has been
of resident
of Airdrie
for over
five years
now. Her
current
job with
the City
of Calgary
has her
working
on long-term
strategic
and business
planning
for the
Waste
&
Recycling
Services
business
unit.
This allows
her to
combine
her love
of the
environment
with her
business
skills.
Strategy
work is
very different
from other
jobs as
you don't
always
reap instantaneous
rewards,
but is
fulfilling
when you
see a
team and
a plan
take shape.
(Even
if you
never
see the
end result.)
Her involvement
on previous
boards
includes
President
of a condo
association
and as
a serving
member
of the
City of
Airdrie's
Environmental
Advisory
Board.
Both were
very rewarding
in different
ways and
she is
now looking
for the
'right
fit' to
get involved
again
in the
community.
Carrie
has been
married
to a great
guy, Kent
Peddie
for 22
years.
They have
2 fabulous
kids,
Joel 15
years
&
Alyssa
19 years.
They moved
back to
Alberta
in 2004
after
several
years
of relocations
thru-out
Saskatchewan
for her
husband's
occupation.
She was
born &
raised
in Sherwood
Park,
AB. She
says I
have been
lucky
to witness
the success
and growth
within
a blooming
community
as a younger
person,
now have
the opportunity
to provide
that for
my kids
here in
Airdrie!
I have
had several
great
jobs in
the past,
one being
in charge
of school
bus transportation
within
the County
of Vermilion
River,
in which
I reported
directly
to the
Board....very
interesting!
I began
my real
estate
career
10 years
ago and
have practiced
in both
provinces.
I am looking
forward
to providing
my contacts
and connections
to the
Airdrie
Food Bank
to boost
the awareness
up and
help the
Board
become
even stronger.
The handsome
and debonarie
Scott
Pulvermacher
has a
Business
Administration
educational
background
and a
strong
entrepreneurial
and community
spirit.
As the
co-owner
of LOGical
Creations
Ltd. he
has won
numerous
awards
for his
innovative
environmentally
friendly
business
practices
and accepts
many public
speaking
engagements
to share
his successful
ideas
with others.
Having
been in
Airdrie
since
2003 Scott
has been
involved
in the
community
in a number
of areas
since.
He is
the founder
of the
annual
"TREECYCLE:
RECYCLING
FOR CHARITY"
event
benefiting
the Airdrie
Food Bank.
Scott
is a proud
husband
and father
to two
wonderful
boys,
Hayden
and Mathias.
He is
eager
to contribute
more to
the community
and the
Food Bank
in his
new role
on the
board.
We are
fortunate
to have
Marie
Lauer
on the
AFB team
again.
She previously
served
on the
board
and has
returned
as of
November
2008.
