Reception/ Food Pantry
Job Description
30 hours per week, regularly 9:30AM-3:30PM. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required. Four-month contract from start date.
The Position
This position is one of the first points of contact for all visitors and phone calls. This job includes greeting, handling requests and/or directing people as required. The primary responsibility of this position is the support and distribution of food to walk in clients through our Pantry Program. This position works in collaboration with the pantry team and reports to the Client Care Manager.
Key Responsibilities

Greet visitors, clients, volunteers, and community members, and answer the phone. Direct and manage requests appropriately.

Work with the warehouse team to distribute food through the Pantry Program to walk-in clients.

Ensure client area and staging area is stocked, organized, and tidy.

Greeting donors and receipting incoming financial donations.

Other duties as required.
Qualifications/Skills:

Strong customer service skills.

Adaptable, flexible and able to prioritize when managing multiple requests.

Basic computer and data entry skills.

Experience in a related field, preferably in non-profit or social enterprise sector is an asset.
